Judy Rodman has over 30 years of professional experience
as a top session singer, award-winning recording artist,
stage and television performer, a multi-genre hit
songwriter, a studio producer and vocal consultant,
and a highly sought-after voice teacher. She has trademarked
her vocal training method “Power, Path &
Performance™”, enabling the power of controlled
breath to move the voice through an open throat path
into fearless, focused performance. Rapid, impressive
vocal improvement usually occurs at the first lesson.
Her clients also learn speak without fatigue, and
to communicate more effectively with rich, interesting
tone.
Judy is known for her intuition in diagnosing problems
and for her creative approach to finding solutions.
Within a verse and chorus she can assess vocal strengths
and weaknesses, which she immediately begins correcting.
She has helped to correct a broad spectrum of vocal
challenges and impairments. In caring for damaged
voices, Judy has re-trained singers with partial vocal
cord paralysis, chronic raspiness, and with history
of nodes to sing with no strain or pain. She has even
been called in as consultant by a Nashville psychologist
to successfully deal with vocal phobias. She is a
master of vocal production and recording studio technique.
When teaching “style”, she guides her
student into that person’s own heart; for instance,
she helped a classically trained singer develop an
alternative rock sound. She encourages uniqueness
of sound and message delivery. She also critiques
songwriting and finding material best suited to each
artist.
