Dr. A. Maurice Murphy (teacher of 5 metropolitan opera divas),
Jocelyn Taylor (international interpreter of Art Songs and Spirituals),
Suzanne Chadwick (baltimore opera) and
Ruth Skezesch (american recitalist).
Experience: After concertizing and performing in operas for 5 years, i have decided to add my skills to the teaching world, and to SAVE a few students from getting BAD training (teaching is my passion), while pursuing a professional career in classical and jazz music.
Teaching Philosophy: Art songs and jazz ballads ! build character and soul for interpretation, intelligent phrase-building and luxurious vowels! are the ANSWER!, correct and healthy approaches to singing any song/aria/genre are a must.
Expertise: Especially effective in preparing young voices 16-22 for schools and competitions, repetoire building, technical difficulties *, and operatic artist development. I work with all genres and types of singers.
